We recognise that this industry, and the people that engage with our content, come from a wide range of backgrounds, cultures and countries. With that knowledge in mind, and with the aim of being accessible and inclusive to all. This policy outlines the principles that guide that philosophy.<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<h2>Our guiding principles<\/h2>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<h3>1. Inclusive representation<\/h3>\r\n<p>Zahara hires first and foremost on talent, but when hiring commits never to discriminate based on:<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Race or ethnicity<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Gender<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Age<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Disability<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Nationality<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Socioeconomic background<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<h3>2. Showcasing balanced perspectives<\/h3>\r\n<p>We aim to highlight a variety of viewpoints in our writing, and believe doing so makes our content more interesting. To do this we will:<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Seek to convey opinions and viewpoints from varying fields within the realm of accounts payable<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Showcase perspectives from industry professionals at different stages in their careers and from different departments in a given organisation<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Remain aware of the challenges and hazards that all people may face when navigating the world of accounts payable automation<\/li>\r\n\t<li>We will also remain aware of the opportunities<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<h3>3. Language and accessibility<\/h3>\r\n<p>At Zahara we know that accounts payable automation can be a difficult thing to understand. In the interest of making that world a clearer, simpler place we commit to producing content that is:<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>As clear and easy to understand as possible \u2013 this includes for people with limited expertise in the industry<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Jargon-free \u2013 we will, where possible, avoid jargonistic words or \u2018shop talk\u2019 in favour of a direct, plain-English approach<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Inclusive \u2013 we will never use language with the intention of insulting or alienating our readers<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Explained \u2013 if we think our readers might struggle with a concept we\u2019re writing about, we will do our best to explain it in a clear and simple manner<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<h3>4. Content strategy and topics<\/h3>\r\n<p>To make sure that we provide the most useful content to our readership, we commit to tackling a diverse range of topics and aim to make those topics engaging for a diverse range of organisations and professionals. Our topics will generally revolve around:<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>The challenges of operating in the accounts payable world<\/li>\r\n\t<li>How our industry is impacted by external factors<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Industry trends<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Industry leaders\u2019 opinions<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Reporting and analysis<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Best practice for automating your accounts payable process<\/li>\r\n\t<li>The benefits of accounts payable automation<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<h3>5. Educating our editorial team<\/h3>\r\n<p>In the interest of offering the best content we can, we endeavour to cultivate open communication channels in our editorial team. That means:<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>If a writer needs help with technical knowledge, editorial management should be open and willing to help them work through the issue<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Where we think it needed, we will also provide training to editorial team employees<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Members of our editorial team commit to staying informed about industry trends to ensure our content remains relevant<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<h3>6.
